AskJed.ai is a product operated by Zingerlabs Private Limited (CIN: U72900KA2016PTC093725), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 36/A, 1st Main, ST BED, Koramangala, Bangalore, Karnataka 560034, India.
This Privacy Policy explains how AskJed.ai ("JED", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with our AI-powered enquiry assistant through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, or our web platform.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to two groups of people:
- Studio users — businesses that sign up to use JED to manage their client enquiries
- End clients — individuals who message a JED-powered business via WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook Messenger
2. Information We Collect
From end clients (people who message a business through JED):
- Your phone number (WhatsApp) or messaging account identifier (Instagram / Facebook)
- The content of messages you send during a conversation with JED
- Information you share voluntarily during the qualification process — such as your name, project details, budget range, location, and preferred callback time
From studio users (businesses using JED):
- Email address used to sign in
- Studio profile information (name, description, services, pricing guidelines, brand voice settings)
- Channel connection credentials (WhatsApp number, Facebook Page, Instagram account)
- Notification preferences and alert contact details
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the JED enquiry assistant and generate responses on behalf of connected businesses
- Qualify and categorise inbound leads for the relevant studio
- Send hot-lead notifications to the studio when a conversation reaches a qualified outcome
- Store conversation history so the assistant can maintain context across messages and recognise returning clients
- Analyse conversation patterns to identify gaps in a studio's knowledge base — for example, questions that JED couldn't answer directly — and surface suggested improvements for the studio to review and approve
- Improve the accuracy, tone, and relevance of JED's responses for each individual studio over time, based on how their clients actually communicate
- Authenticate studio users and maintain their account settings
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use conversation data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating and improving JED for the specific business you interacted with. Conversation insights are used exclusively to make that business's AI assistant more helpful — not to profile you across other services.
Studios may review and approve suggested improvements to their assistant before any changes take effect. We do not autonomously modify a studio's core instructions or business rules without their explicit approval.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
Conversation data and studio configurations are stored securely in a managed cloud database hosted on Supabase, with servers located in the Asia-Pacific region. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Conversation histories are retained for as long as the associated studio account is active. When a studio account is closed, associated conversation data is deleted within 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
JED integrates with the following third-party services to operate:
- Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger) — to send and receive messages on behalf of connected businesses. Messages are transmitted through Meta's Business API. Meta's own privacy policy applies to your use of their platforms.
- Anthropic — the AI model provider that powers JED's responses. Message content is sent to Anthropic's API to generate replies. Anthropic does not use API input/output to train their models.
- Supabase — cloud database and authentication provider.
- Resend — email delivery service used to send hot-lead alerts to studios.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data processing terms.
6. Cookies and Analytics
The JED web dashboard uses essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We do not operate analytics tools that track individual user behaviour across sessions.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to access data we hold about you
- The right to request correction of inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, you can:
End clients who wish to have their conversation history deleted can use the deletion request form or contact us directly. We will locate and remove your data from our systems and confirm once complete.
8. Data Transfers
JED operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including Singapore, the United States, and the European Union, in connection with the third-party services listed above. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where applicable.
9. Law Enforcement and Legal Requests
JED may receive requests from public authorities, government agencies, or law enforcement bodies seeking access to personal data or Platform Data we hold. We apply the following policies to all such requests:
- Legality review: We review the legal basis of every request before responding. We will not disclose personal data in response to a request that we determine to be unlawful, overly broad, or lacking proper legal authority.
